A Taste of the Balaerics - Lobster Calderetta June 14th Dartmouth & July 12th Bristol:
We love the Balaerics, the food is unique and the preparation of seafood there is wonderful. The menu this evening will feature typical dishes of the islands including the famous lobster calderetta cooked by the fishermen in the North of the island of Menorca. We will prepare this wonderful dish using our local lobster which will be simmered slowly in claypots over charcoal where it developsthe most wonderful flavour of the sea. £60 – Aperitivo & four courses (excluding wines).

Dartington Food Fair:
Mitch will be cooking up at this year's Dartington Food Fair, which will be a great family fun day out on the famous Dartington Hall Estate located a mile from Totnes in the beautiful South Hams area of Devon. It will take place at the beginning of June on Sunday 3rd, Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th June from 10am until 6pm at The Shops at Dartington (entrance off the A 385) in association with Taste of The West. Mitch at Dartington Food Fair:
SOUTH Devon foodies will have the chance to try something new and tuck into local specialities and treats when the Dartington Food Fair gets under way.
The three-day food spectacular will take place during the jubilee bank holiday weekend at the Shops at Dartington.
It is the second festival of its kind, but Dartington bosses believe it will be even bigger and better.
The festivities include 20 top chefs from around the region, cooking in the demonstration kitchen, including seafood champion, local restaurateur and fishmonger Mitch Tonks and award-winning cookbook chef Jane Baxter.
Suzy Atkins, a wine expert from the hugely popular TV show Saturday Kitchen, will also be making an appearance.
There will be hands-on fun for all to enjoy, young and old, and free activities such as clay pot making, face painting, fire juggling shows and animal petting, plus bookable sessions of kayaking, archery and bike riding.
Back this year will be the popular Food Pavilion with more than 50 producers from Devon and the West Country.
Ashridge Cider will also be coming back for their second year, hosting the Devon Cider Bar to help get everyone in the festive mood.
New for 2012 will be the craft tent, showcasing the finest Devon crafts and providing hands on activities for all to learn and enjoy.
Celebrations for the Queen's diamond jubilee will take place throughout the event with themed food and drink, competitions galore and live music from well-known groups. Entrance is £4 for adults while children under 12 go free and on-site parking is free.
Local Seafood Night - the Best Fish in the World! Thursday 24 May:
We love our MSC Norwegian cod and haddock but we also love the fish from outside our window. We will be putting on a special menu made up of only our local fish, enjoy fried brill, turbot, red mullet, sea bass, dover sole, weever fish & whatever else our local fishermen catch for that day. If you want to try our local seafood then this is the night to do it. Menu will be priced individually – dishes from £6
An Evening of Tuscan Food - Bistecca Fiorentina May:
Tuscany is Italy’s food capital with it’s wonderful seafood and fantastic meats, this evening we will enjoy both using the best of our local seafood. The beef or “Bistecca” in Florence, for me, is one of the finest pieces of meat I have ever eaten. We will use the finest aged meat and will use the larger thick “T” bone cut The meat they will be prepared in the traditional style - roasted over the fire and served with Tuscan olive oil, rosemary and sea salt. The evening will be hosted by Michelle Satta one of Tuscany’s rising star’s and producer of the some of the finest wines in Bolgheri. £60 – aperitivo, anti pasti & four courses (wine excluded).

Groucho Club Seafood Dinner with Mitch Tonks, Mat Prowse and Nathan Outlaw….:
Mitch and Mat will be cooking up a seafood treat with Michelin starred chef Nathan Outlaw for Groucho Club members in April. They say "This is going to be a gourmatic odyssey so make sure you’ve booked your berth on the good ship fish supper.. More mouth-watering details to follow.

Annual Christmas Party at the Seahorse:
Don't forget I'll be hosting our annual Christmas party at The Seahorse on 23rd December. 4 courses of wonderful seafood and meats roasted the fire, a welcome aperitivo, some special bottles of wine to share from our favourite producers, Christmas carols and gifts. Mitch joins Rick Stein for the Padstow Christmas Festival:
Mitch will be joining Rick Stein and the fantastic line-up of chefs at the cookery theatre at this year's Padstow Christmas Festival. Tantalise your taste buds at his seafood cookery demo in the theatre in the main marquee on the quayside. Radio Cornwall will be covering the demonstrations, hosted by Daphne Skinnard. A wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit!
